Any SF ad nerd can tell you how important Howard Gossage<\/strong> was to the local ad scene and the industry at large. Probably they can even point to\u00a0The Book of Gossage<\/em> on their bookshelf.\u00a0But documentarian\/Director\u00a0Ashley Pollak<\/strong> drops a few choice tibits that’ll make you realize just how important he was to the whole world\u2026<\/p>\n

“Gossage<\/strong> had managed to save the Grand Canyon from being flooded for profit, helped establish Friends of the Earth<\/strong>, discovered Marshal McLuhan<\/strong> – an obscure Canadian academic who thought up the Internet – and inadvertently caused the military invasion of a small Caribbean island.”<\/em><\/p>\n

This trailer\u2014at seven minutes\u2014is a MiniDoc in and of itself. Which only makes me more excited to see the full flick. And hearing that Gossage<\/strong>‘s daughter, Sarah<\/strong>, is the Executive Producer doesn’t hurt things either.\u00a0(via SFE<\/a> and AdRants<\/a>)<\/p>\n
