Just Bottled: Batch 2 of Firelit Spirits Blue Bottle Coffee Liqueur
It’s here. Jeff Kessinger, the main brains and taste buds behind Firelit Spirits, holds the 60-proof proof.
Batch 2 of the tremendously successful Firelit Coffee Liqueur was bottled just last week. Again using the Bay Area’s Blue Bottle Coffee. This round opting for Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, or “Yirg”, instead of the Yemen in Batch 1.
Hand-stamped just like the first batch. Only with a different color, roast, and numero dos, of course.
“Stone fruit notes jump out of the glass. Although the mouthfeel is considerably creamier and slightly more delicate in comparison to Batch 01, this release is certainly more intense and complicated.
In cocktails, Batch 02 will play very similarly to Batch 01, however a side-by-side tasting will display noticeably different characteristics between the Yemen and Ethiopian coffee beans.”
—Jeff Kessinger, Firelit Spirits
Batch 1 ended up being the fastest one of the fastest-selling spirit ever produced at St. George Spirits.
The new batch is already hitting shelves. See where to track down a bottle.
