If you ever make it to Virginia City, NV (you really should ‘cuz it’s a freaking awesome gold-rush town) you need to hit up the Bucket of Blood Saloon. Just be mindful of who’s under your stool.
No idea who the wonky-eyed gentlemen is. I do know the bar’s been there since 1876 and they now have their own Bucket of Blood Beer brewed for them by See the rest »
Man, the artwork of VCJ and the guys of the Bones Brigade have a special place in my geeky heart. Junior High would not have been the same without them. This autobiography by Stacy Peralta looks like it’s giving ’em a fitting tribute, too. Screenings times are still rolling in so keep an eye on BonesBrigade.com. In the meantime, they’re making the classic skate film (and I say Film), Animal Chin, available as a free download at animalchin.com. He’s got his own milk carton!

The benefit of having an office in your client’s building? If your client is Petaluma‘s Lagunitas, it means having their newest Seasonal, DayTime, fresh off the bottling line. That and killer work. To name a few. Er, a couple. Damn, this is only 4.65% but a few 6-packs sure add up fast. It’s a lil’ piney. A lil’ fruity. And way too easy to knock back. Imagine a lunchtime Sucks you’re not too far off.
For over a year we’ve collected, photographed and laid-out a beautiful book that celebrates all the best craft beer labels with beards, sideburns and moustaches on them—CRAFT BEERDS. Yes, there’s enough to fill a book.
But now the book’s grown to over 175 breweries and almost 300 pages and we need your help in printing the thing. Please share and check out our Kickstarter to lend a hand and get some cool rewards in return.
Wondered what my wife was giggling at. Looked at her screen and saw this on the front page of SFGate. The headline was gold but they really stuck it with the photo. While I’m handing out medals, “Kayaker given penalty by his mother” definitely gets the bronze.
