SXSW: Beer Labels x Indie Rock Mashup

Love the idea for this flyer promoting the fifth annual Pitchfork/Windish Austin Party. Not stoked on the execution.

Why not have Austin’s Neon Indian on a Shiner label? And why put LA’s Local Natives on a Brooklyn Brewery label? Lazy if you ask me. But I’ll give ’em props for the Washed Out / Coors Light pairing. That’s almost Wacky Packs material.

Caught Sean Hayes for the first time last night at the Mystic in Petaluma. We were pretty damn impressed. Highly recommend the trek up when he returns April 11. For now, hear his latest below. Along with other tasty tunes that’ve been circling the Ümlaut this week. Thanks for the Local Natives tip, Dylan!
