Tons of goodies to go shoppin’ for this week. And a live sample from an album that’ll hopefully be out soon, a gorgeous duet off Karen O‘s “psycho opera” Stop The Virgens. Enjoy thoroughly.

This new track from Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak and her new side project Flock of Dimes almost makes up for the fact that Wye Oak is covering Dinosaur Jr on May 22nd—and it’s sold out.

The idea of Ben Folds covering Ke$ha may not sound like a good idea, but think about it. Anybody doing Ke$ha is better than her, right? This case especially.

Ben Folds “Sleazy” (Ke$ha)

You’re gonna love this new Washed Out until I lodge this in your head: Moby, Enya, and Caribou havin’ a baby. That is all.

Washed Out “Eyes Be Closed” from Within and Without

The Black Keys warm up to a fairly restrained take on Buddy Holly. The upcoming tribute LP includes My Morning Jacket, Jenny O., Lou Reed, Modest Mouse, She & Him, and more.

SXSW: Beer Labels x Indie Rock Mashup

Love the idea for this flyer promoting the fifth annual Pitchfork/Windish Austin Party. Not stoked on the execution.

Why not have Austin’s Neon Indian on a Shiner label? And why put LA’s Local Natives on a Brooklyn Brewery label? Lazy if you ask me. But I’ll give ’em props for the Washed Out / Coors Light pairing. That’s almost Wacky Packs material.
