Awesome: Classic Album Cover Art Extended
It’s like Sleevefacing, but different … Sleevescaping? Sleevemancing?
What happens beyond the borders of classic album cover sleeves? That was the challenge issued by B3TA, to which hundreds replied. Some are pretty damn clever. Check ’em here.
The Pink Floyd Animals cover BoingBoing picked out is my fave. Ace Photoshopping.

Hello from Portland –
As someone who makes his living promoting and selling the works of the talented designers, illustrators and photographers who have created some of the best-known album covers of the past 40+ years, I’m always happy to see postings and articles by others in the design field that talk about how album cover design has influenced them (and pop culture in general) and inspires them to build on this creativity.
A group of folks I know are working on creating an Album Cover Hall of Fame web site this year, so keep your eyes peeled – hope that you agree with our initial selections and that you’ll comment on them and future ones as well.
Keep up the good work
Cheers – Mike G – RockPoP Gallery – Portland, OR
