While this has nothing on the recent, epic Hahn SuperDry commercial, it does have Van Damme‘s mullet. And weird Mom Jeans. And for some reason, Antonio Banderas‘ accent. Enjoy. (Thanks, Matt!)
Remember the Coors Light ads about their Freaky Freezy -like cans? Or seen any of the other Big Beer ads about the many unnecessary “advancements” in drinking technology? Those are the reasons these Breckenridge Brewery spots were made. Just had to be done. Cheers to Cultivator Advertising & Design in Denver.
Love the idea for this flyer promoting the fifth annual Pitchfork/Windish Austin Party. Not stoked on the execution.
Why not have Austin’s Neon Indian on a Shiner label? And why put LA’s Local Natives on a Brooklyn Brewery label? Lazy if you ask me. But I’ll give ‘em props for the Washed Out / Coors Light pairing. That’s almost Wacky Packs material.
Remember Freezy Freakies, or was it Freaky Freezies, the 80′s gloves that changed colors in the snow? I had dragon ones that totally corroded my fingernails. Wonder why they were discontinued.
Coors Light‘s new “cold activated” can applies the same technology (of the non fingernail-warping variety) and changes color when it’s cold enough to drink. Not gimmicky at all. And sooo necessary. Cough. Cough.
Need to chill a beer fast? Follow my instructions …
CHILL OUT WITH THE UMLAUT Cold beer in 3 minutes:
Fill a bowl with water & ice.
Toss in a handful of salt (swirl for the magic).
Submerge your beers for 3 mins. Enjoy.
Or, cold Coors Light in 30 seconds:
Fill a glass with water.
Toss in ice cubes.
Drink.
Rim shot! Check out videos of different beer-chilling experiments at Project Cold. Some are actually scientific. Some are just plain silly.
