“Wildlife” Installation by Karolina Sobecka.

Not 3D mapping, but cool projection nonetheless. If you have not seen this video, take a sec and catch it now.
This was done back in 2006 and it’s still an inspiring piece of tech. Beyond just a tiger projected from her moving car, she programmed it so the speed of the animal is directly linked to the speed of the vehicle. So when she slows down, the tiger slows down from a sprint to a skulk.

Karolina’s been doing a ton of experimental projects, all pushing how we view and interact with video and imagery.
