While all of Jeremy Fish’s work is steeped in storytelling, for his newest show he’s actually letting you hear the story behind the work—while you look at the work.
Opening June 21 at Joshua Liner Gallery, each piece will be accompanied by headphones playing their respective stories, straight from the storyteller’s mouths—Snoop Dogg, Mike Giant, Lance Mountain, Mars-1, the Dandy Warhols‘ Courtney Taylor, and more.
Doesn’t matter if you’re in advertising, design, or freakin’ basket weaving. The most successful are usually the most self-disciplined. In short, the ones who “do it and get it done … no fuckin’ around.” Wise words.
That Playboy 50th Anniversary show we posted about in February is finally opening tonight in Chicago. Playboy Redux features over 30 killer artists’ reinterpretations of the iconic Playboy Bunny.
Though I missed the REBEL8 “Return of the Lost Angels” event by a week (video here and recap at Fatlace) I was lucky enough to drive down Melrose in time to catch the huge bomb Mike Giant dropped on the Shepard Fairey wall at De La Barracuda.

Joshy D gave me this sticker back in ’04 when I was teaching at Academy of Art. He and Mike Giant were only a year into launching REBEL8. Then I was just happy to spot their gear around SF. Now, they’re on meteoric rise beyond the Bay. On Travis Barker and Lil Wayne. In insane collabs with SF’s Benny Gold and even Vans Shoes. I could not be more stoked.
