I’m not a big fan of _____ baby videos. Especially the dancing baby commercials. They just bug. But Iron Baby is in a class of her own. French-Canadian autodidact director Patrick Boivin created this parody with his daughter. Her Uncle STROB created the suit. Impressive performance by all three. (via Giz)
Not sure what move this is but looks like it involves a lighter. One thing’s clear, this is no Gymkata.
Apparently there was a PC game called Bikini Karate Babes 1 because now there’s a sequel—the respectably titled Warriors of Elysia. It looks just as epically cinematic as the name suggests.
No, I’m not referring to another rash of massage parlors. Petaluma’s Boulevard Cinema will be only one of 27 movie houses to get these special D-BOX motion FX seats. (pic via OhGizmo)
“…You can sit in this chair, and as you’re watching the movie, the chair will move to left or the right or vibrate, so it makes the moviegoing experience 4-D instead of 3-D”
Almost like this classic bit from Kentucky Fried Movie:
This promo for Freeview HD “see every tiny detail” coverage of the World Cup has a huge beard, so it’s my duty to post. However, the campaign’s a little (no pun intended) lacking … Their requisite YouTube channel has same three vids posted under different names. But it’s early. I’ll cut ’em some slack. Their requisite Twitter account for Tiny Streaker‘s friend Faroosh the baker is starting to warm up.
Soon the site will launch a contest where you can win a Freeview HD screening of the World Cup for you and four buddies. Now that’s worth checkin’ back.
Two retired sports figures are doing a series of commercial vids on YouTube, there was bound to be some crossover … Tell me this dude looks more than a little Hernandez-y …
Kind of like Usher’s Duet With A Goat. But more like the Nutty Professor and Professor Frink merged with a deaf goat. It’s all sorts of awesome. Thanks, Mel (via Artista Muerte)
This dancing dog just makes me smile. (Thanks, Matt)
Wow. Some serious planning and facial hair went into this vid.
Makes my time lapse commute beard look more than a bit choppy by comparison. And makes my head hurt just thinking how he reverse engineered the whole thing. Cheers to MailChimp for using this to showcase their growth potential. (Thanks, Tim!)
Getting a single egg in a large pan? Exposing breasts to your boss and making it seem like an accident? Why is everything so freakin’ hard?!
I’ve got a soft spot for bad stuff. The worse, the better. It’s why I pay money for jacked-up action figures. Hell, it’s why I do the Ümlaut. Naturally, when it comes to TV, I cannot escape the gravitational pull of bad commercials. This montage is irresistible. With a great use of The Beatles, too.
Cool way to show the speed of the new Google Chrome browser. Geek out on the technical details and stats here. Then watch the making of. (Thanks, Jess!)
The O.G. Warriors “colors” patch used in the 1979 Walter Hill classic is up for auction on eBay. Supposedly from the film’s Prop Master. Only three days left. Too bad it’s $75. Check it out.
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched The Warriors. But I can tell you I’ve watched it twice in French.
UPDATE: WARRIORS REMAKE
Unfortunately, the remake is still a go. The latest is that Tony Scott is directing for MTV Films, only it’s going to be set in LA instead of NYC. IMDB says 2011. We’ll see.
Like the Will It Blend Slice of sword videos. Witness “people of larger stature” slice and hack everything from balloons to pig carcasses. Nine minutes of pure awesome. Makes a great double feature with the Illegal Machete Trailer.
