UPDATED: Halloween night, a roaming Star Wars Cantina Band took over the Mission in SF. Hitting up bar after bar. And when they couldn’t get in (ahem … Bruno’s) they played on the sidewalk.

Star Wars: In Concert combines a live symphony and chorus with specially-edited video montages from all six films, and some bitchin’ lighting for a serious evening of SW geekery. Tickets go on sale August 1 for Sacramento, San Jose, LA, and beyond.
The gang at Mekanism just launched the website with an interface based on the galactic-sized LED screen from the event. (Nice work, Paulo)

What I thought was a promising prototype was really an elaborate April Fool’s prank. Either way, a bunch of Star Wars geeks got pissed and pushed for the real deal. According to this article at LA Weekly, the guys are now working with LucasFilm to actually produce the damn thing. Sweet.

Direct from E3. Well, by way of Laughing Squid. This “epic moment in old republic history” is the first in a series of trailers for the new game from the old Old Republic franchise. By the looks of it, this time they mean business.
As overdue as this may be, they finally made one. And made it right.
Nice little details like layering and stereo panning. Most impressive.
