World Cup: Star Wars x Adidas Originals “Cantina 2010” with Daft Punk, Beckham, more

It’s not just tiny, bearded streakers promoting FIFA World Cup viewing parties. Attik just joined the game with a follow up to their awesome Star Wars x Adidas vid:

adidas Originals invites you to join David Beckham, Daft Punk, Snoop Dogg, Franz Beckenbauer, Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown, Ciara, Jay Baruchel, DJ Neil Armstrong and some of your dear, old friends for an intergalactic 2010 FIFA World Cup viewing party that you’ll never forget.”

World Cup: Tiny Streaker, Big Beard

This promo for Freeview HD “see every tiny detail” coverage of the World Cup has a huge beard, so it’s my duty to post. However, the campaign’s a little (no pun intended) lacking … Their requisite  YouTube channel has same three vids posted under different names. But it’s early. I’ll cut ’em some slack. Their requisite Twitter account for Tiny Streaker‘s friend Faroosh the baker is starting to warm up.

Soon the site will launch a contest where you can win a Freeview HD screening of the World Cup for you and four buddies. Now that’s worth checkin’ back.

Design Fail: The Tequila Your Man Could Smell Like

Look up. It’s the tequila your man could smell like. Now look down. It’s two things your design reeks of. I’m on a donkey.

Saw the La Pinta tequila flyer at The Irish Bank (brilliant place to promote pomegranate infused tequila).

They were lined up perfectly. Like, “you complete me” perfectly. Half man. Half Apple ad. A creature out of Greek marketing mythology. If only my crappy iPhone camera captured it more clearly. And that’s the smallest irony of this picture.

Spotted on Market Street, SF.

Adv: Grizzly Bear do Lottery Dream Commercial

Patrick Daughters, who directed the Grizzly Bear‘s crazily-eyed Two Weeks video, handled this spot for Washington’s Lottery. Their second commercial appearance since VW PunchDub.

Although the effects merit repeat viewings, there’s something off about the editing of the music and visuals. Sure, they’re both gorgeous. They’re just not so great in bed together. (via Stereogum)

BEST USE OF INDIE MUSIC IN A COMMERCIAL DREAM:

Karen O x Squeak E. Clean‘s “Hello Tomorrow” for Adidas Spike Jonze. Dreamy indeed.
