NYC: It’s Been a Pleasure

I just completed four rapid-fire trips for work in NYC. Looking back, I saw a lot of random schtüff (no surprise). Here’s my favorites.

I saw the Best Wet Paint Sign in NYC:

We saw Sexy Spidey Sax play Careless Whisper and a Pomeranian sing Who Let The Dogs Out. In the same day.

A guy, with all the sincerity of a Green Peace volunteer, explain the meaning of the Fart Smeller Movement.

I was graced by this vision of the Patron Saint of Manly ‘Staches, Tom Selleck.

Saint Selleck shined upon me and granted a run-in with pal and fellow hairy Bay Areain, Jack Passion.

Kids and stoners alike will eat this up with a spoon. But don’t even show it to the Trippy Webcam Girl. She’ll just explode.

Autodesk just released this real-time video effects app, Motion FX, which uses your Mac’s FaceTime, iSight, or external camera and facial tracking [see: CamStache] to apply crazy effects like fire, smoke, and rainbow plasma (which I like to call the Predator filter).

Watch: Epic Heineken Spot is Bizarro GoodFellas Copacabana

Not as epic as the Hahn Beer Commercial. Nor as star-studded as the Van Damme Coors Light spot. And though it does manage, with a Scorcesian nod, to combine the Copacabana and the club in the 1968 Utica Club Beer club song, it still won’t get me to drink a Heine.
