Media Fail: Old Spice Ads on Gizmodo’s Tsunami Coverage
Surely someone’s noticed these inappropriately placed ads already.
I’ve been following Gizmodo‘s in-depth earthquake / tsunami / nuclear reactor coverage since the disaster struck and have done my best to ignore these Old Spice banners. Chalking it up to unfortunate media glitch.
But now almost a full week later the exploding, mushroom-cloud volcano-head ads, with the promise to “Become one of the freshest smelling places on Earth” are still there.
In all of Gizmodo‘s techno-geekery they can’t devise a method for omitting these ads on all pages tagged/mentioning Fukushimia Daiichi or something? C’mon, Giz.
