Stoked the Yay Area’s team made it to the Super—l. Even more excited for the commercials. Last year’s VW The Bark Side was a standout. This year Samsung comes out of the gate with El Plato Supreme as a sign of a promising new crop of spots. Watch above as Bob Odenkirk gets all Saul Goodman with Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen. Woke up quick, at about noon jus’ thought that I had to be in Compton soon. I gotta get drunk before the day begins before my mother starts bitchin’ about ma’ friends
Just saw this at Brewpublic … A craft beer bar opening in a yet-ungentrified Portland neighborhood may have the very best name/logo in all of Beertopia. N.W.I.P.A. is going to focus solely on—wait for it—I.P.A.s. IPA abundance aside, I do like a good bar with a good theme. Throw in some good tunes and you’ve got a winning combo; like this supercut of every N.W.A. expletive.

CHURCHKEY SF HAS THE HAND-DRAWN TAPS YOU’RE LOOKING FOR
Come to a free night of rare Chuck Sperry art, Lagunitas beer, and killer food.
All inside the very amazing, historical SF landmark we’re all trying to save—Firehouse 8.
Entrepreneurial SF artist Teresa Nittolo and crew have been putting everything they have into restoring, preserving, and turning the old Firehouse 8 building into a grand community arts center. But after so many fees from the SF Planning and Building Depts, not to mention the inherent headaches of a 1917 building, they’re needing some financial help—or the project won’t happen at all.
This not only looks amazing, it looks legit. If I can track one of ’em down I’ll report back with a photo and review. That is, if they can resuscitate me afterwards. (via SFist)
This Star Wars x The Grinch Who Stole Christmas mashup brings all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile. Well done OneMinuteGalactica. (Thanks, Cheri!)
