Halloween: The Most Interesting Costume in the World

“I don’t always wear a costume, but when I do, I look exactly-fucking-like The Most Interesting Man in the World.”

Las Vegas‘ own Tyler Langston has officially won Halloween. At least the AdverSpokesperson Category. Well done, man. Cheers!

Halloween Gross Out: “Taxidermied Alive” Music Video by Barfth

Remember the epic Firecoat video? Well, the latest from YDGN Productions has arrived just in time for Halloween. Behold Taxidermied Alive by the most awesomely, awkwardly-named band ever: Barfth.

Just a warning and a reminder: the song is called Taxidermied Alive. So know your limits before going in to this one.

How To: Make a Guinness Black & Orange (Smashed Pumpkin)

This simple concoction seriously tastes like pumpkin pie à la mode. And its colors are perfect for cheering the San Francisco Giants. Win, win.

It works with any pumpkin beer, but I prefer Smashed Pumpkin Ale from Shipyard‘s Pugsley’s Signature Series. It’s big on flavor without tasting like a packet of pumpkin spice dropped in a beer. There’s a great writeup on it at Brewed For Thought.

Spooky: The Shocker The Costume

You can only get away with this costume one day out of the year. And that day only occurs on leap year. In another dimension.

Thankfully, every day of the year you can enjoy a different Shocker euphemism with The Shocker 365 Calendar (iPhone app forthcoming). As a writer, and a guy with a 12-yr-old’s sense of humor,   See the rest »

1977: Incredible Hulk “Fun Poncho” is Retarded

Flame retarded, that is. See what I did there?

Saw this vintage Ben Cooper (aka Smock ‘n Mask) Halloween costume at the Petaluma Art & Garden Festival this weekend. No you wouldn’t garden in it. And only if you were me would you call it art and hang it on your wall. But somewhere along the lines the fest has become more about antiques and less about arty gardeny schtuff. And for this I am thankful.

SF: Roaming Star Wars Cantina Band In The Mission Halloween Nite!

hammerhead getting ready to hit SF

UPDATED: Halloween night, a roaming Star Wars Cantina Band took over the Mission in SF. Hitting up bar after bar. And when they couldn’t get in (ahem … Bruno’s) they played on the sidewalk.

Great idea, Occlupanid.

It's A Wrap

It takes a band of Biths to bring Megatron and Hammerhead together. Here’s a video from Nate at A New Leaf; one of the members of the roaming rockers.
