Lagunitas‘ seasonal Lucky 13, which went from an Imperial Red to a Blonde, is still a couple weeks away but it’s my virtual drink of choice for this Friday the 13th. The watering hole of choice being See the rest »
Stoked to see Illustrator Ana Benaroya did a piece for my post on the Mini Golf Course in Basement of Funeral Home. She designed the above and a lot more for some “factual trivia magazine”. Gotta track that down.
AND, it turns out, she designed the beard socks Mel got me for Whiskerino last year. Buy ’em here.

Thanks for the pic, Tyler Young. This vintage Vegas moustache cup would’ve paired well. Cheers.

I spotted this at a kids birthday party this weekend and thought it was wrong on a couple levels. Mostly the bottom level with all the 7-yr-olds.

With 53 documentaries packed into 4 days of the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival, there’s a lot of decisions to make. However, The Audio Program is a no brainer. Presented by the production sound legends behind Apocalypse Now, A Bug’s Life, and more, Pat Jackson & Dan Gleich, The Audio Program runs Saturday, March 31. The festival goes from March 29th through April 1st.
This is the first of two trailers Director Beau Bouverat and production co. TINBIKE partnered with ABERCROMBIE+ALCHEMY to create for the SDFF. With delicious sound design by Chris Vibberts‘ Music For Film. See #2 below. See the rest »
Our condolences to Terry Schumaker, whose beloved Yoda passed away last week at 15. Just last June, the 1.8 lb Chihuahua / Chinese Crested Mix won first place in Petaluma‘s World’s Ugliest Dog Contest. Even before that she was well-loved by her owner, Terry, who had found her abandoned behind an apartment building and took her in. Glad there’s big-hearted people like that to love the not-so-conventionally-cute creatures of the world.

Every batch of Firelit Spirits coffee liqueur uses a different fresh roast and local roaster—usually. Batch 05, marks their third with Oakland‘s Blue Bottle Coffee but this time they chosen a Peaberry Yirgacheffe bean. It’s not the holy-grail, cat poo coffee bean, but it sounds deliciously close. Look for it on shelves immediately.
