The benefit of having an office in your client’s building? If your client is Petaluma‘s Lagunitas, it means having their newest Seasonal, DayTime, fresh off the bottling line. That and killer work. To name a few. Er, a couple. Damn, this is only 4.65% but a few 6-packs sure add up fast. It’s a lil’ piney. A lil’ fruity. And way too easy to knock back. Imagine a lunchtime Sucks you’re not too far off.

N.W.I.P.A.: The Best Craft Beer Bar Name is in the Hood

Woke up quick, at about noon
jus’ thought that I had to be in Compton soon.
I gotta get drunk before the day begins
before my mother starts bitchin’ about ma’ friends

Just saw this at Brewpublic … A craft beer bar opening in a yet-ungentrified Portland neighborhood may have the very best name/logo in all of Beertopia. N.W.I.P.A. is going to focus solely on—wait for it—I.P.A.s. IPA abundance aside, I do like a good bar with a good theme. Throw in some good tunes and you’ve got a winning combo; like this supercut of every N.W.A. expletive.

Free Show: Nicki Bluhm Live at Lagunitas

Not many people know but the fine folks over at Lagunitas have built a killer outdoor venue nestled next to their Beer Sanctuary called the Laguminiamphitheaterette. Yes, that just rolls off the tongue. They’re doing a series of FREE(!) shows through the summer with some serious names lined up. Bluegrass legend Peter Rowan kick things off last Monday. This Monday Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers are playing with Petaluma‘s favorite farm band, Arann Harris and The Farm Dogs. The place only holds a few hundred people, so you don’t wanna sleep on this.

For FREE tickets, get to the Lagunitas Schwag Shop first thing Wednesday before all the tickets are gone.
